    Hi Jaya Raja,

I have a question on your post on Default Services and Features in Sharepoint Foundation/Standard/Enterprise 2010 @

Are the features listed here installed and enabled by default after installing Sharepoint 2010? Or are there additional configurations needed to enable those features?

    regd ur question towards 2010
The features provided here in this list are provided by sharepoint 2010 by default.
in order to activate it you need to enable the features .by default the services and features will not be enabled by sharepoint.
you need to activate it manually.

Thanks again for your reply. 🙂 But I still could not see my comment in the site; but no worries. 🙂

I also would like to know if there are Sharepoint services that are already enabled by default. And what users can do in Sharepoint given the “default” services are running.
e.g. Can users create sites? Can users upload documents? Can users do search?

I’m quite new with Sharepoint, so I’m not really sure if the questions I’m asking are logical.

by default no services will be enabled by sharepoint.. you gotta enable it using the site settings–site features…
you can create site and upload docs by the default settings in the sp .
for search you gotta configure search setting in teh central admin and configure the ssp so that you can start crawling and indexing
